We are privileged to be able to offer 16 fully funded educational preschool places to our local community. Applications are made in the normal way through the Education Authority and are allocated based on their criteria.
Preschool is a place where learning is promoted at every opportunity, where independence is a skill to be developed and where it is safe to ask questions and investigate the world and your place in it.

Children in Education Preschool follow the National Preschool Curriculum and enjoy learning experiences from all 6 areas of learning. We aim to provide these experiences in a variety of natural and child lead ways from learning maths in the role play area when we cut our own fruit, to experiencing the seasons first-hand in our free flow outdoor area, to learning the correct way to wash our hands in our child friendly bathrooms! It is all learning, and it is all fun!

Forest School is something that our Educational Preschool get to enjoy with a weekly visit to our Forest School site in Hillsborough Forest. We also have strong links with the Dromore Music Society and the children experience Yoga each Tuesday along with a variety of other visitors and outings throughout the year.
Education Preschool runs from 9.30am – 12pm each day with an additional childcare option available in our Little Nutkins Room. This is an extension to our morning preschool for those needing full day care. The room is reset with more exciting activities and the children can enjoy the consistency of continuing their learning in a relaxed and familiar environment.
If you would like your child to have lunch with us, you can avail of our Lunch Club! Situated in The Bungalow on Ballynahinch Road, children attending will be transported in our nursery vehicles to Lunch Club where they will enjoy a delicious home cooked meal with their friends. Lunch Club runs from 12pm – 1.30pm each day during term time.
