Junior After School
We are very excited to have opened a brand-new room at Peter’s Patch in September 2021! Our Junior Afterschool Room is situated at the main day nursery on Carnreagh and is home to our Primary 1 children. This is a fabulous transition room before they move on to The Bungalow. It is full of fantastic open ended, natural resources and our skilled staff continue to guide learning through In the Moment Planning.
Opening at 7.30am, we can help to ease the morning rush by providing a nutritious breakfast for your little one before dropping them to school in our specially designed vehicles, just in time for lessons. When school is over, we will collect them and deliver them safely back to Junior After School where the staff are on hand to offer support with homework and ensure that the children have space to wind down after their busy day at school. A tasty snack is provided in the afternoon to keep them going until dinner time.

There are lots of activities available including a wood working station where children are free to create using real tools, a kitchen area with real food for cooking up some tasty treats and plenty of games, puzzles, and activities to keep little minds learning through play. There is also lots of space to just relax, read or chat with your friends. We have access to the nursery garden during the afternoon to get some much-loved fresh air while we climb, run, jump, dig and build.
